Recently, the mobile advertising evaluation platform AppsFlyer released its industry report of the index marketing which aims at the global mobile e-commerce, travel and common apps in Q3 2015.

AppsFlyer Installation Report tracked users’ installs of mobile e-commerce, tourism, and common apps that exceeded 450 million times globally between March and May 2015. Only apps with more than 5000 installs are included in survey samples while the “Power Ranking” is mainly based on two indicators :“Retained Users” and “Total Installs” , of which the user retention rate are sampled from day 1, day 7 and day 30 retention respectively.



The report pointed out that Organic User Retention Rates (day 1, day 7 and day 30 retention) are generally higher than paying customers in both the Android and iOS platform. Furthermore, the older the time interval lasts, the gap between two platforms will become more obvious. Overall user retention rates of Android and iOS platform are relatively equivalent.

In terms of mobile devices, App User Retention Rates of the Chinese brand users are high overall and account for almost half of the android market list.
